Driving Directions

From the South (Nashville): Take I-65 North to the Cardinal Boulevard Exit. Turn left at the stoplight at the bottom of the ramp. Go under the I-65 overpass and turn right on to Floyd St. at the second stoplight. Ralph R. Wright Natatorium sits on the corner of Cardinal Boulevard and South Floyd Street, directly across the street from McDonald’s.

From the North (Indianapolis): Take I-65 South to the Arthur Street Exit. Turn right at the first stop sign (Brandeis St.). Turn left at the stoplight (South Floyd St.). Cardinal Park will be on your left and Cardinal Arena will be on your right. Ralph R. Wright Natatorium sits on the corner of Cardinal Boulevard and Floyd Street, directly across the street from McDonald’s.

From the East (Lexington): Take I-64 South towards downtown Louisville. Take Exit 12 to merge onto I-264 West. From I-264 South take exit 12 to I-65 North towards Indianapolis. Take exit 133 towards Cardinal Boulevard/US-60 Alt W/ Eastern Parkway. Turn Left at the stoplight onto Cardinal Boulevard. From the East (Cincinnati): Take I-71 South to I-65 South and get off at the Arthur Street Exit. Turn right at the first stop sign (Brandeis St.). Turn left at the stoplight (South Floyd St.). From the West (St. Louis): Take I-64 East to I-65 South and get off at the Arthur Street Exit. Turn right at the first stop sign (Brandeis St.). Turn left at the stoplight (South Floyd St.). PArking

Special Event parking is available in the Floyd Street Parking Garage directly across the street from the Cardinal Park Soccer and Track Stadium. The cost for parking is $5. Overnight parking is not permitted.

Special Event Policies

  1. For the safety of all athletes, access to the locker room hallway is STRICTLY limited to the athletes participating in the meet. No spectators, coaches, or officials should use the the athlete locker rooms.

  2. Only competitors, coaches, officials and authorized meet workers will be allowed on deck.

  3. The University of Louisville prohibits the use of tobacco products and alcohol in the Ralph Wright Natatorium. Smoking is prohibited on University property.

  4. Pop-up type tents are prohibited at all University of Louisville Athletic Association Facilities.

  5. Any signs or banners must be hung by masking tape or string only.

  6. Radios, noisemakers, or anything that may cause distraction to swimmers, coaches or officials will not be allowed. Flash photography is prohibited during the start of heats.

  7. Glass containers and all foods are banned from the complex; no food is allowed on deck.

  8. All trash must be deposited in appropriate containers.

  9. Folding “camping style” chairs are prohibited on the pool deck.

  10. Due to limited space there is no reserved spectator seating in the Natatorium. All personal items will be removed at the conclusion of each session.

  11. Any acts of vandalism against the University of Louisville in Wright Natatorium will require immediate attention by the meet director. The University of Louisville Police Department will be called and a report filed. Culprits could be expelled from one or more sessions, as determined by the meet director, team coach, and facility management.
